Gor beat Leopards to win Sportpesa Super Cup

Substitutes Oliver Maloba and John Ndirangu came off the bench to score winning goals for Gor Mahia against AFC Leopards in the Mashemeji diaspora final match at the Sportpesa Super Cup tournament.

The Sunday final at Uhuru stadium in Dar Es Salam, Gor Mahia registered 3-0 victory over Leopards, the similar margin at the first leg of Kenya Premier league (KPL).

Now the champions await English Premier League side Everton on July 13th at the National Stadium in Tanzania.

K’Ogalo’s Timothy opened the score 60th minute before substitutes Maloba (76) and Ndirangu sealed the victory for the green armies.

With three goals he scored in the tournament, Gor Mahia’s Meddie Kagere was awarded golden boot

Soon after the final whistle, Gor players paraded a banner written ‘Everton FC, see you soon in Dar’ in throwing down the gauntlet to the nine-time English champion as they celebrated their handsome victory.
