Gotv Shield: AFC Leopards beat Kariobangi Sharks in final

  1. Salim Abdalla and Vincent Oburu guided sent AFC leopards to the CAF Confederation Cup next year after they scored a goal each during the GOtv Shield final match played today at Moi Sports Centre.

The lethal players were on target for Ingwe against Kariobangi Sharks and pocket Kshs 2 million.
Abdalla’s header in the 12th minute into match sent Ingwe fans into frenzy played under rainfall before Oburu adding the second in the 82nd of the final minute of half to seal a 2-0 victory against The Sharks.
The win gave Coach Robert Matano the first trophy at Ingwe den following the dismal performance in the Kenya Premier league (KPL).
Debutant Sharks in the KPL faced experienced side Leopards who last won the title in 2012.
The win was a revenge against The Sharks who have collected four points from Ingwe in the KPL- a 4-0 win in the opening fixture and barren draw reverse fixture.
