KRU Championships: double header in Eldoret

Eldoret will host two matches of the Kenya Rugby (KRU) Championships, the rugby fifteens aside this weekend.

The top universities-University of Eldoret (UOE) and Moi University-will all be in action The two as the quest for playoff qualification and eventual promotion to the 2018/19 Kenya Cup league continues.

UOE will host Egerton University in the University derby at the UOE ground while Moi University Main Campus will host Kisumu RFC at their ground in Kesses.

Top of the table Menengai Oilers will travel to Mumias to play against third placed Western Bulls popularly called Echulusi. The two sides met in first leg action with Oilers beating the former Kenya Cup side 26-8 in Nakuru.

Echulusi, playing before their home fans, are out avenge the result as they plot their quick return to the top flight but must contend with all the challenges that will be thrown their way by the ambitious side from Nakuru.

USIU host the Catholic Monks at their home ground in Kasarani while three Kenya Cup champions Mean Machine are at home to the JKUAT Cougars.

Moi University host Kisumu in one of two matches in Eldoret, the other fixture pitting University of Eldoret against the Egerton University’s Wasps.
