Cheptil Girls and Bishop Sulumet Girls’ Lugari have an upper hand in clinching the netball girls at Moi Girls High School Open tournament that kicked off today.
The two teams proved their worth in the two day event that culminates on Saturday at the moi Girls high school Eldoret with host team training.
Nandi based Cheptil top the standing ahead of Lugari when the former edged out Lugari in a final match before a final played under round robin format.
As the only remaining team unbeaten in the tournament after beating favourites Lugari, Cheptil beat Lugari 28-12in one of the most competitive match of the day.
In the opening match, Cheptil thrashed Shikokho 34-03 in a one sided match before winning the second match against Kakamega based Lugari 28-12.
Lugari, who played three matches today, won the opener against hosts Moi Girls 43-0, losing the second match to Cheptil 28-12 and punished Kakamega county mates Shikokho 41-04.
St. Catherine Kesses won one match against Shikokho hosts are the only teams who failed to register any win.
The tournament has attracted four disciplines-netball girls, Lwan Tennis boys and girls, badminton boys and girls and table tennis boys and girls.
