GSU, Prison Kenya qualify into quarter finals

Despite losing the last match in pool D national Volleyball championships General Service Unit (GSU) qualified to play into quarter final slated for Monday in the Africa Men Volleyball Club Championships in Al Alhly, Egypt.

It was also good day for former national champions Prison Kenya who won the last match in pool A to qualify into the last eight.

Both Kenyan teams GSU and Prison Kenya have lost one match each in the championships against Egypt teams.

GSU lost the last match to Elgiesh 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 26-28 and 25-19) to book for the last eight slot.

In the last match Wardens beat Nemo Stars from Uganda in three straight sets of 25-22, 25-23 and 25-18 in pool A encounter.
