Jan ‘Wepukhulu’ Koops detained over unpaid hospital bills

Former AFC Leopards head coach Jan Koops has been detained at Metropolitan hospital after failing to pay hospital bill worthy Kshs 280,000.

The ailing Dutchman coached Afc Leopards, Kolongolo fc and Nairobi City Stars, was nicknamed Kenyan Wepukhulu due to his interaction with football fans.

He underwent two operations in Nairobi to treat hernia and was to be discharged on Saturday after staying in the hospital for 18 days..

Despite Ingwe owing him Kshs 2.5 million, Koops left the den after his contract lapsed and was not renewed by the club.

Wepukhulu is appealing to the well wishers to bail him out and contributions can be channeled through pay bill number 891300, account number 21869 or send money to his mobile number 0701243827.
