Erick Ooko takes round two lead with a shot

Erick Ooko produced a superlative performance to take the lead in the second round of second leg of professional golfers Road To Karen Masters played on par 72 Sigona Golf club today.

The Royal Nairobi Club member played identical two under 70 in the first and second round on Monday and Tuesday respectively to end round two with four under par 140.

Ooko will enjoy the overnight lead with one shot over round one winner Justus Madoya who fired two over par 74 today adding on his five under 67 in the opening round to conclude round two with three under par 141.

Ooko won the opening leg that was played on Vet Lab course a fortnight ago, relegated the Great Rift Resort’s Madoya to second.

Resident professional golfer John Wangai completed the podium with two under 142 after firing two over 74 and four under 68 tying with Jacob Okello on fourth place. Okello registered two under 70 and level before Railway club’s Alfred Nandwa’s one over 145 (74, 71).
