Kenya will open London sevens with USA in the penultimate stage of 2017/2018 World Rugby Sevens Series in England’s Twickenham Stadium.
The Innocent Simiyu led charges will be hoping to end the season on high as they battle USA at 1:41pm before taking on France at 4:41pm and complete the pool matches against hosts England at 8:16pm in pool C.
With Shujaa playing at the Main Cup finals two times in this season-Vancouver in Canada and Hong Kong in China- losing all finals to Fiji, has collected 93 points, the highest in all series and sitting pretty in position six.
Led by former Kenyan coach Mike Friday, USA, Kenya will try to shine again after beating the world’s super power twice before drawing once this season.
They drew 19-19 at the pool stage in New Zealand before the Kenyans edged out the Americans 24-19 in the Cup semi-finals in Canada and 33-14 in the pool stage in Singapore.
Shujaa has played France five times this season-South Africa, Australia, USA, Canada and Singapore- with enjoying three wins.
Kenya and England have met twice this season, each team winning once. Kenya had the better of England for the first time since 2011, winning 12-0 in the main Cup quarter-finals in Canada before the Britons avenged 28-19 at the pool stage in Singapore.
