Vet lab’s Mike Kisia fired four birdies to take the overnight lead at the Coronation Trophy, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series on par 73 Nakuru golf club.
Too much raining pounding in the country, the golfers played 18 holes away from the expected 36 holes today before going into the final round of the tournament on Sunday morning.
Kisia shot two under par 71 to take three shots lead over his club mate Robinson Owiti as well as Limuru Country Club’s John Kariuki who played one over par 74.
In the inward one, Kisia played two birdies on holes five and nine, par four and five respectively, six pars and a bogey followed by other two birdies in the outward nine on holes 13 and 17 on par five and three before playing six pars and one bogey to complete round one with two under par 71.
The Windsor Classic champion John Lejirma was 4th overall with two over par 75 ahead of Simon Njogu from Limuru.
