Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia will play again with Rwandese Champions Rayon Sports in the 2018 Council for East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) Kagame Cup.
The two teams, which are in pool B together with Lydia Ludic from Burundi and Ports of Djibouti, are in the same pool in the CAF Confederation Cup, willrenewv their rivalry after they played out to a one all draw in their opening fixture.
Gor Mahia will open the title wins against Rayon Sport on July 1 followed by Lydia, on July 3 before wrapping up their group matches against Ports on July 4.
Kagame Cup Champions Gor Mahia will be defending their title in the 12-team tournament that is to be played at National Stadium and Chamadzi grounds in Dar es Salaam.
The tournament returns after three years of absence in the 44 year old will be played between June 28 and July 12.
But the battle of titans will be between Tanzanian giants Yanga and Simba in Group C together with Ethiopia’s St George and Dakadaha of Somalia.
Azam from Tanzania will play defending champions Uganda Vipers, JKU from Zanzibar and Kator FC from South Sudan.
The top two teams from each pool as well the best two third-place finishers will earn their place in the last eight stage of the competition.
