Shujaa wraps sevens series better

Shujaa, the national sevens aside completed the 2017/2018 World Rugby Sevens series in position eight after collecting 104 points, the highest ever that the team has collected in history.

Today, Shujaa concluded the series in position 13th in Paris last meeting in France after beating Scotland 21-20 in the final for 13th place at Jean Bouin stadium.
It was the greatest in this season after last season’s outing where they finished 12th with only 63 points, having reached main Cup quarterfinals only twice.
In Paris, Kenya had lost to Argentina 19-12 in Challenge Trophy quarterfinals and beat Russia 26-14 in the semi-finals for 13th place, before holding off the Scots to win in their only second appearance in the 13th place final.
The Innocent Simiyu led team fell to eighth after swapping Argentina, who beat Wales 33-26 to claim Challenge Trophy.
It was a good outing for Simiyu team who played at the quarter finals seven times in main Cup from 10 legs, two main Cup finals in Vancouver, Canada and Hong Kong, losing all to Fiji.
In Cape Town, London and Paris meetings, Kenya failed to reach the Cup quarters.
