Kericho based golfer P. Hunjan fired two birdies to claim the New KCC golf tournament series staged on par 73 Nakuru golf club today.
Playing handicap 11, Hunjan also had a bad day, sinking blank in the second nine to but managed to emerge the champion on 41 stable ford points.

The experienced golfer started on high with a par on hole par 4 but succumbed to a double bogey but recovered well with back to back pars, making a break through on hole 6 with a birdie to boost his chances.
As he sunk a bogey on hole 7, he changed his game and fired a par on hole eight before winning the inward nine with another birdie on par five hole 9 with 22 points.
Beating his second placed Daniel Cherono with a shot to 40 stable ford points, Hunjan shot a blank in the inward nine on hole 12 but that did not deter his efforts as he signed out with six pars, and two bogeys to earn 21 points in the last nine to claim the title.
Home golfer, playing handicap 06 Cherono registered 40 stable ford points to claim second place.
Handicap 02 golfer N Koech was the lowest gross winner with 35 points while Njuguna Njoka was the male winner with 39 points while Elenor Wambui was the lady winner after firing 36 points.
Handicap 18’s Athony Kiragu from Vet Lab was the guest winner with after garnering 35 points.
On 23 and 21 points were Sila Munyao and Sagoo Harjit who were the winners of first nine and second nine prizes respectively as Koech returned to the podium again to take Longest drive’s men as Nancy Kimemia was the lady’s longest drive winner.
Gentral Esto pocketed nearest to the pin as Wesley Kihumba won the junior category on 31 points.
