Top runners will be seeking for a ticket for this year’s World Masters ticket when Athletics Kenya hosts the national trials from tomorrow- Thursday and Friday at Kasarani stadium.
The two day event of trials will be the first one since the organizers had been hand-picking athletes to compete for the nation.
Among those who will be competing for the World Masters ticket that will be hosted at the Spanish City of Malaga is James Seuerei, who won silver at last year’s World Masters silver medal in 3,000m steeplechase.
The Malaga championships will be staged from 4th to 15th September and Seurei will be leaving nothing for a chance but to win the slot to improve on his chances of coming home with the gold and not silver like last year.
“I have been training well in preparations for the world masters and I want to get a slot into the Kenyan team and come home with gold, away from last year’s silver,” said Seurei.
The 70 year old runner will be taking on track to try and reclaim his lost glory during his youthful years.
