Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia and FKF Shield champions AFC Leopards qualified into the quarter finals of the FKF Shield Cup following their respective wins today.
Gor won against Posta Rangers while Leopards ousted Division One side Mwatate fc in a double header at Moi Sports Centre Kasarani today.
The 16 time champions won by 3-1 against visiting Rangers with goals as Kevin Omondi netted a brace and Samuel Onyango scoring for Gor as Paul Odhiambo netted a consolation for Rangers. The win will see Gor play Kariobangi Sharks in quarters.
Ezekiel Odera scored the winner for the Leopards in the dying minutes for a 2-1 win.
Ingew came from a goal down to secure victory as they face Nation Super League side Kenya Police in quarters.
John Musyoka scored first for Mwatate as substitute Eugene Mukangula then Odera sealed the victory.
This tournament’s winner will compete in the Caf Confederation Cup next season.
