Kenya Basketball Premier league (KBF) champions Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) have been handed United States International University (USIU) in the quarter final play-off.
KPA finished the league on top and are clear favourites against USIU in the men’s category.
After finishing second, Ulinzi Warriors will play Umoja in the second quarter while Thunder square to play Equity Bank in the third quarter as last year’s finalists Strathmore University Blades will have date with Kenya College of Accountancy – University (KCA-U).
KBF competition secretary Joseph Amoko said the quarters will be on best of three series and will see the best placed teams in the league standing play their first games away before finishing the remainder of the series at home.
Equity Hawks, joins Storms, KPA, Strathmore University’s Swords, Zetech University, Eagle Wings, USIU-A Flames and Kenyatta University’s Oryx in the play-offs in the women’s league.
The pairings are yet to be determined with two league matches set to be played this week.
