Raila Odinga visits Gor Mahia players ahead of Everton friendly match

Former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga made a surprise visit at Gor Mahia training camp before the team faces English Premier league (KPL) side Everton fc tonight in England.

Raila was accompanied by Principal Secretary for Sports, Kirimi Kaberia, SportPesa Chief Executive Officer, Ronald Karauri and Gor chairman, Ambrose Rachier.

The high profile leaders will watch the friendly match live at Goodison Park.

Raila challenged Gor players to take on the nine-time English champions without pound for pound as he urged them to take the golden opportunity to sell their talent to the watching scouts and football fans across the world.

The newly appointed African Union High Representative for Infrastructure was accompanied by family members who will be watching the event at the stadium.

As is his custom on such a grand occasion, Rachier introduced all his players to the guests, calling them out one by one off head before proclaiming they had come to Liverpool to make a statement.

The Dylan Kerr led charges will be seeking to make a single win against EPL side following their 2-1 win in Tanzania, lost in penalties against Hull City.
