Faridah Olwichi fires Eldoret Falcons up

Eldoret Falcon continued with its top form to register 100% wins against Wadadia in the Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) played today at University of Eldoret ground.

Faridah Olwichi netted the lone goal to seal victory against Kakamega based team played on a dusty ground as the league heads into the homestretch with three matches on card to play.

The 55th minute goal for The Falcons, Olwichi connected Janet Moraa’s cross to take maximum points, adding on their three points they earned on Saturday against Soccer Queens who conceded 8-1.

But the congested fixture is giving head coach Josphat Pilishi sleepless nights. Following their two matches this weekend; they will be hosting double header at home against Vihiga Leeds on Tuesday and Kisumu All Stars on Wednesday before completing the league away to Thika United Ladies.

“This fixture is tiresome though the league has already had the winner because a win or a loss in the top four won’t change anything,” said Pilishi.

In the first fixture,Falcons won against Wadadia 0-2 in Mumias.With the league coming to an end this weekend, Falcons have collected 55 points from 28 matches.
