Ibinzo girls high school stands on Bishop Njenga Girls high school way from defending the Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom Western Region title as they face off at the finals set for Sunday at Bukhungu stadium.

The multiple national football champions edged out new comers Brenda Girls high school from Bungoma county by a solitary goal in the semis played today at Bukhungu stadium.
Captain Violet Wanyonyi scoring the crucial goal to see the champions progress to the finals to book a date with Ibinzo who played at the national secondary schools sports association for the first time in 2018.
Njenga’s opponents Ibinzo progressed to the finals following a hard fighting 2-1 victory over Busia’s Kigandole.
Phelister Nabwire scored a brace in the seventh and 33rd minutes to sent her school to the finals while Ann Mwalubi scored a consolation for Kigandole in the 48th minute.
The saints will be battling for honours in the boys’ category when The Saints from Butere-Mumias will face Lugari Blue Saints after thrashing Vihiga’s Ebbu Stars 4-0. Lugari were 2-0 winners over Bukembe Friends from Bungoma in the other semifinal.
A brace from skipper Atem Kato and one each from Felix Omondi and Venadine Ambetsa saw Saints walk off with a comfortable win while Brian Lusamukha and Dennis Asuza scored for Lugari.
The winners in tomorrow’s finals will each receive a cash reward of Sh200,000 and proceed to the national finals set for June at Kinoru Stadium, Meru.
After Kakamega, the competition moves to Moi Stadium in Kisumu for the Nyanza regional finals next month
