Unbeaten Mathare, Bandari secure wins

Mathare United maintained their unbeaten run in the Kenya Premier league (KPL) fixture by edging out Tusker at Ruaraka grounds today.

But fate continues to pile against Mount kenya United formerly Nakumatt fc as they went down to visiting Bandari at Afraha stadium in Nakuru.

Following the win, The slam boys beat the brewers 2-1 and will continue enjoying top of the table until the next fixture.

Johnstone Omurwa and James Kinyanjui scored for Mathare in both halves to secure maximum points to tally their points to 17 as Peter Nzuki pulled one back for the hosts.

After finishing second last season, Bandari has had good run in the KPL. And today, they managed to defeat struggling Mount kenya United 2-1.

Hassan Abdallah scored the opener for the Dockers in the 15th minute as William Wadri converted a penalty to level the score on the 52nd minute.

Coach Anthony Mwangi introduced Frankline Mwenda for Boniface Mukheke after Indeche was sent off, then brought on John Ndirangu and Brian Nyakan for Boniface Kimani and and Samuel Ndung’u in search for goals.

Promoted side Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) registered their maiden win with 1-0 win against AFC Leopards at Afraha Stadium, Nakuru.

Leopards still with one win in their seventh game continued as Kennedy Owino scored the lone goal for the bankers on the 50th minute when Leopards finished with 10 men after Said Tsuma was dished out with a red card in added time.
