KPC, Prison Kenya wins in Egypt

Reigning Kenya Volleyball women champions Prison Kenya and former champions Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) registered wins in their opening matches of the Africa Women volleyball Club Championships in Cairo Egypt today.

After finishing fourth last year Kenya Prison defeated Asec from Ivory Coast in straight sets of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-08 while last year bronze medalist KPC were the winners against Rwanda Revenue Authority in similar version of 15-19. 25-19 and 25-15.

This was the good start for Kenyan teams at the 30th edition of the Women’s African club volleyball championship at the Ahly Hall in Cairo.

KPC coach Margaret Indakhala, who is making a debut at the championships. the opening win means good for her against experienced coaches at the annual tournament.

On Saturday, another Kenyan side Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) who are making their return into the continental championships trounced Congo’s DGSP 3-0(25-14,25-12,25-17).
