Former World cross country junior cross country bronze medalist Cynthia Jerop will be taking on Los Angels Marathon set for Sunday evening in the United States of America (USA).
The ever green runner from Nandi County will be be chasing her second marathon title after winning Kass in 2018.
“I am well prepared for the race. I had a good morning run and I am sure of getting good results,” said the 2018 Chemususu Dam 10km champion.
Talking in USA, the reigning Kass Marathon champion won the inaugural Kaptagat half marathon will be marshaling forces with Kenyan runners Lucy Karemi, Jane Kibii and Joan Jerop with hopes of sweeping the podium.
The Hanover marathon champion, went ahead to claim the inaugural Bomet Half marathon in November.
She will be competing in her third 42km distance after making her debut at Nairobi Standard Chartered marathon where she finished second behind her cousin Josephine Chepkoech who clocked 2:33:11 as she timed 2:34:12 for silver.
Coached by her husband Stephen Kimaiyo, the runner said the focus will be registering her maiden win in American soil.
