AFC Leopards came from a goal down to register their back to back wins against Western Stima in the Kenya Premier League (KPL) match played today at Machakos Stadium while Bandari FC was held.
Substitute Marcelo Kaheza scored the winner when Leopards defeated Western Stima 2-1 latched onto a long ball shooting into the net with his left foot into the roof of the net beating Stima skipper Stephen Otieno
Wesley Kemboi scored first for the visiting Stima in the 38th minute as the captain’s goal was cancelled by Vincent Oburu in the 44th minute.
The victory lifted Andre Cassa Mbungo’s charges to 13th position on 19 points after 18 rounds ahead of their visit to Vihiga United on Wednesday at Bukhungu Stadium.
In another KPL match Bandari FC failed again to go top following their barren draw against Chemelil Sugar at Chemelil Green Stadium.
The draw moves joint top of the standings with Sofapaka at 33 points while Chemelil.
On Sunday, there will be one fixture when Posta Rangers tackle Kenya Commercial bank (KCB) in Machakos.
