Kenya wins bronze at World cross country @Aarhus2019

Kenya reliquished medly relay, the opening race of world cross country championships in Aarhus, Denmark today.

Ethiopia won the first gold as the championships that was won by Kenya during 2017 in Kampala, Uganda.

Ethiopians dominated the medly relay with Endale Kebede taking the baton running 6:09.1 followed by Bone Cheluke in 12:48.1 with third Lemi Taddese and Fantu Worku winning in 25:49 as Morocco for the first time won silver Soufiane Bakkali in opening race followed by Kaoutar Farkoussi, Abdelaati Iguider and Rababe Arafi who won in 26:22.

Kenya started well with Olympic 3,000m steeplechase champion Conseslas Kipruto followed by Jarinter Mawia Mwasa, world 1,500m champion Elijah Matonei Manangoi before Winfred Nzisa Mbithe ending the race timing 26:29.
