GSU, Prisons dominate KFV Zone five provisional team

Reigning Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) champions General Service Unit (GSU) got the lion’s share as KVF named a provisional 20 man squad for the Confederation of Africa Volleyball Zone 5 that will be hosted in Kenya.

Following their dominance in the KVF league, GSU managed to slot in eight players as the team prepares for the All Africa Games qualifiers.

Former champions Prison Kenya came in second with five players as Kenya Ports Authority managed three. Equity Bank and Administration Police have two players each.

GSU players include Bonventry Mukhekhe, Nicholas Kipchirchir, Cornelius Kiplagat, Simon Kipkorir, Abiud Kipkirui, Brian Melly, Noah Bett and Cornrlius Rotich. Prison Kenya players are Sila Kipruto, Jairus Kipkosgey, Rodgers Kipkirui, Michael Chemos and Kelvin Kipkosgei,

 Zone V brings together 12 countries and is the largest CAVB region. The countries in the zone include Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Egypt, Tanzania, Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Burundi, South Sudan, Djibouti and Eritrea.
