Hansel Ochieng scored the only goal for Nzoia Sugar to sink KPL champions Gor Mahia who need five points to defend and win a record 18 titles.
Ochieng’s strike paused Gor’s rush for the title.
At Machakos stadium, Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) were 1-0 winners against AFC Leopards. Kennedy Owino struck the lone goal for the bankers against Ingwe as the latter misses their win four times in a row.
In Kericho, hosts Zoo Kericho were 2-1 winners over visiting Western Stima at Kericho Green stadium.
The hosts came from a goal down to claim maximum points with goals from Derrick Anami and Danson Chetambe.
Sony Sony Sugar claimed vital points following their 2-0 win over Kariobangi Sharks at Awendo Green stadium.
Salmon Omollo and Enock Agwanda were on target for the sugar millers against the sharks.
