Nairobi Chess Academy Abdi Miskin won the Second edition of the Karen Country Rapid Fire Chess Championships.
Miskin edged out 18 other players to emerge victorious with 6 points in the tournament played yesterday. He led Stephen Ouma to second and Mehul Gohil to third with 5 points respectively.
In the Madaraka Day Junior Chess tournament, Ian Francis Wanyama emerged victorious in the under 18 category leading Isaiah Ngao and Jason Kinango in second and third places respectively.
In under 12 category, Golden Chess Club’s Allan Kipkemei th dominated the event followed by Alvin Ngaruiya of Mombasa Chess and Bjorn Geets from Kivukoni school.
