Shujaa picks a point in @Paris7s opener

Kenya collected a point after playing out to a draw in the opening match of the world rugby series in Paris sevens today in France.

Shujaa, which is fighting relegation played to a 19 all draw against Australia in the pool B encounter.

Australia’s Josh Coward gave  his side the lead with a converted try before Kenya won a turnover and Johnston Olindi failed to convertg Charles Omondi’s try.

Former skipper Andrew Amonde broke through from the ruck to score as Olindi converted to lead 12-7 but Lachan Anderson touched down for Ausi for a lead 14-12 at the break.

Michael Wanjala converted Bush Mwale’s try as Kenya reclaimed the lead 19-14 as Matthew Hood landed a try for 19-19 score.
