Baldev Chager charges his way to victory in Naivasha

Driving Mitsubishi Lancer Evo10, Baldev Chager, navigated by Ravi Soni won the Kenya Safari Rally Championships that ended today in Naivasha.

Chager won the championships, which is a World Rally Championships (WRC) event ahead of one leader Carl Tundo, who missed out on hitting a record of five victories in the Safari Rally, finished second in a Mitsubishi Lancer car with Tim Jessop

Onkar Rai in Skoda Fabia car recorded the second accident in the Safari Rally, having suffered a similar problem in last year’s edition.

The Safari Rally is seeking to regain World Rally Championship status, and senior officials from the global body, led by FIA Safety Delegate Michelle Mouton, have been present during the entire competition.
