Malkia Strikers hit training ahead of international assignments

Kenya women volleyball team Malkia Strikers has hit training ahead of Inter-Continental and Africa Games championships in Italy and Morocco respectively.

After losing to Cameroon at Africa Volleyball Championships in Giza in Egypt, Kenya failed to automatically qualify for 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Kenya, for the second time lost to Cameroon denying Malkia Strikers to reclaim their title. First was in 2017 in Younde, Cameroon and last weekend in Giza.

The Shaileen Ramdoo led team will be travelling to Italy for FIVB organised tournament on 30th July with the tournament serving off from 2nd to 4th.

In their second assignment, Kenya will be travelling to Rabat, Morocco for Africa Games in August.

Strikers made the continental showpiece after winning Zone Five title after edging out host Uganda in straight sets.
