Simbas roar over Zambia at Victoria Cup

Simbas lacked respect for their hosts as they whipped Zambia in their opening match of the Victoria Cup rugby15s tournament played today.

As they prepare to play champions Zimbabwe next weekend, Kenya won 23-34 with Commercial Bank (KCB) player and former Shujaa captain Andrew Amonde touching down twice.

Kenya led 23-10 at water break as they landed six tries, two conversions and two penalties to dismiss the Zambians.

After Zimbabwe encounter, Simbas will prepare for return legs scheduled for August 24 and September 21 against Zambia and Zimbabwe respectively in Nairobi.

Jacob Ojee opened the score Amonde added two as Impala Saracens Billy Odhiambo added his score name for the fourth try followed by Curtis Lilako try before Griffin Musila also landed for the victory.
