Ghana, the last hurdle for Starlets in Olympic Games appearance

Harambee Starlets will be facing their last hurdle against Ghana in the 2020 Olympic Games qualifier set for Tokyo,  Japan.

The national women’s team edged out Malawi in the second round on a 5-3 aggregate to storm into the third round set for September 30 in Accra in the first leg before the return leg on October 4.

The David Ouma led team will face Ghana that defeated Gabon 5-0 on aggregate to book Kenya in the last and determining round.

In their first meeting, Ghana beat Kenya 3-1 at the women’s Africa Cup of Nations held in Ghana in 2017 and the two teams then played out a draw in an international friendly in Nairobi the following year.
