With two matches at hand, Blazers won a record 23 Kenya Hockey Union Women’s title after beating Kenya University on Sunday 17th at City park.
Formerly Telkom under the tutelage of Jos Openda, the multiple Africa Hockey champions extending their national win to 22 titles with a 2-1 victory over Kenyatta University.
Barbara Simiyu and Caroline Guchu were on target for the champions to seal their victory. Simiyu opened the score in the 4th minute but Kenyatta’s Gloria Juma cancelled the score in the 47th but Guchu ensured they win the title with her score.
Despite two matches remaining in the calendar with 32 points, The Blazers won the title as they will play with bragging rights against Sliders and the United States International University of Africa (USIU-A) before the league conclusion.
