Ezekiel Kemboi set for Kakamega Forest marathon

Reigning Chebara Dam Half marathon champion Ezekiel Kemboi has ambitions of claiming Kakamega Half marathon title set for 30th November.

Kemboi, not the 3,000m steeplechase runner, has his ambitions to run for the country, he will also be yearning to represent the country at the Africa cross country championships.

The runner who trains in Iten, the home of champions said his focus is to claim the title as he plans to stamp authority in the 21km distance.

“My focus is to win Kakamega half marathon title because am preparing for it now. I know how competitive it is but that will not stop me from taking on the course,” said Kemboi.

Kemboi won the title timing 62:29 leading Kennedy Kipyego (62:35.55) and Reuben Longosiwa (62:36.61) for podium positions.
