Resilient Malkia Strikers stun Cameroon in Olympic qualifiers

Malkia Strikers, the national women team registered their third consecutive wins in the ongoing Olympic Games qualifiers in Cameroon.

The Paul Bitok led charges defeated hosts in a thrilling five setter to improve their chances of qualifying as they wait for winless Nigeria in the last match that attracted five nations for the single ticket for 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo Japan in July.

In alternating formula, Kenya won the opening set 25-16 but hosts reorganised to take the second in 23-25.

Strikers won the third with a 25-21 with Cameroon winning second 23-25 but Kenya secured the last and determining set in 15-11.
