Malkia Strikers beat Nigeria to seal Olympic Games ticket

Kenyan women volleyball team Malkia Strikers edged out Nigeria in their last Olympic Games qualifiers to qualify for Tokyo Olympic Games in Japan.

Unbeaten Malkia Strikers won in straight sets on 25-18, 25-21 and 25-12 to win their 4th match.

Following the win, Kenya topped the table with 11 points one better than hosts to end the sixteen year old long wait for Kenyan queens to make it to Olympic Games.

In the five nations tournament played in round robin, Kenya won the opener against Egypt 3-1, defeated Botswana 3-0 toiled hard to stun Cameroon 3-2 and today’s 3-0 over Nigeria.
