Represent us well, president urge Malkia Strikers

President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged Malkia Strikers, the national women volleyball team to represent the nation well at the forthcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Speaking while hosting the team in Mombasa on Friday, the president urged Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed to utilise the Sports Fund to improve the lives of sportspersons.

Kenya qualified to represent the continent at the Olympic Games after registering wins t the Africa Olympic qualifiers early this month in Yaounde, Cameroon.

Uhuru said the Sports Fund was created to ensure sports people lead comfortable lives and asked the CS and newly appointed Sports Principal Secretary Joe Okudo to formulate policies to that effect.
