Mwanahalima Adam turns pro at Djurgardens IF DFF

Harambee Starlets striker Mwanahalima ‘Dogo’ Adam is the latest player to play professional football as she plans to join Djurgardens IF DFF.

Dogo, if she signs the deal, she will be joining her other Starlets compatriots who have joined clubs in Europe. They include Vivan Corazone (Atletico Ouriense, Portugal) and Annette Kundu and Ruth Ingotsi who both signed a three-year deal each with Lakatamia Football Club which features in the Cypriot top flight league.

For St John’s Kaloleni alumnus has been turning up for Kenya Women Premier league side Thika Queens.

She also won the 2016 Sports Personality of the Year Award (SOYA) in the most promising girl category.

The move is a massive boost for Starlets in gaining international exposure as the four players moving abroad joins Esse Mbeyu Akida who plies her trade with FC Ramat HaSharon in Israel as well as winger Mary Kinuthia and striker Christine Nafula both based in Sweden.
