Fresh from exiting AFC Leopards, Makwata scored his first goal on debut for Zambian champions Zesco United today as they defeated Mufulira Wandarers 2-0.

He scored the second goal after Winston Kalengo had put Zesco ahead. He continued with his good run following his 13 goals in Kenyan Premier League (KPL).

Apart Makwata, Jesse Were, keeper Ian Otieno all played in the game.

In Japan, Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga scored a solitary goal as Kashiwa Reysol beat Jef United 1-0 in a friendly match played at the Fukuda Denshi Arena on Sunday.
