Homeboyz, Tusker, Gor wins

Kakamega Homeboyz and champions Gor Mahia were on the winning ways in the kenya Premier (KPL) matches played today.

Playing on home ground, Kakamega humiliated Chemelil Sugar 6-0 as Gor defeated Zoo Kericho 2-3 away in Kericho.

Christopher Masinza grabbed a brace for the Boyz to in a fast-paced Kenya premier league match played in Bukhungu Stadium yesterday.

Masinza opened the score in the 10th minute connecting David Okoth’s cross as defender Benjamin Oketch’s solo effort earned them a 2-0 lead as Masinza scored a brace into break.

In the 70th minute, Shami Kibwana scored the 4th Ronald Otieno 85th minute and Peter Thiong’o in 86th minute for Nicholas Muyoti’s side to prevail.

Samuel Onyango scored a brace for Gor in the 53rd minute and 77th while Nicholas Kipkirui scored Gor’s third goal.

Zoo had taken the lead in the 27th minute when an unmarked Kepha Ondati headed home a corner kick delivered by Tayo Odongo, who netted their second goal in the 69th minute.

Ulinzi Stars defeated relegation bound Kisumu All-Stars 3-2 at the Afraha Stadium. Masita Masuta struck a brace to add on Bernard Ongoma’s goal. John Owino and Gershom Arabe replied for All-Stars.

Tusker drew 1-1 with returnees Wazito at Ruaraka. Chrispinus Onyango gave the breweries the lead but Paul Kiongera equalized to share points.
