Gor Mahia has proved too good against AFC Leopards after winning today’s Mashemeji derby’ played today at Kasarani.
For the last four years, the champions won by 1-0 against Leopards with Boniface Omondi scoring the lonely goal in the 27th minute.
The win handed Gor all bragging rights over their perennial rivals to maintain their top position on the table.
The win, which hands Steven Polack’s men the season’s double over Leopards, restores Gor’s seven point lead atop of the KPL log as they now move to 54 points and on course to a fourth successive league triumph.
Ingwe on their part remain in 6th place with 40 points and continue to hunt for their first win in this fixture since 2016
