Lionesses in a pool of death at Sevens Challenger Series

Kenya Lionesses, the women national rugby team will be facing rugby giants at the inaugural HSBC World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series women’s event in South Africa.

The Felix Ouma team leads pool C alongside Scotland, Argentina and Colombia set for March 28th to 29.

In the 12 nation tournament involves teams that have qualified from all six World Rugby regions competing to win a coveted core place on the prestigious World Rugby Sevens Series for the 2021 season.

Hosts South Africa are seeded first where they will play China Poland and Mexico in a favorable Group  A.

Japan, who have made three guest appearances on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series already this season as part of their Olympic preparation take on Papua New Guinea, Kazakhstan and Belgium in pool B 

The Sevens Challenger Series is a new competition designed to boost rugby sevens’ development across the globe.
