Outgoing Nairobi West Secretary General Caleb Malweyi Ayodi and Former Football Kenya Federation (FKF) South Coast branch youth representative Hamisi Kassim Mwakoja floored their opponents to win Nairobi and Kwale County chairman’s posts as FKF elections kicked off yesterday.
Ayodi defeated closest and only competitor Charles Njoroge with a whooping 44 votes out of the 61 delegates who cast their vote for Nairobi chairman’s post.
In other positions, Charles Kioko was elected Secretary, Josephat Kinyua-Treasurer, Maureen Auma- Women Rep and Hannington Kimathi as Youth Representative.
In Kwale, Kassim Mwakoja was elected the new Kwale after trouncing former South Coast branch vice chairman Salim Bambaulo.
As Mwakoja won the chairman’s post, Hamisi Zamu will be his treasurer after beating Juma Gatiwi as Shilingi Fumbwe was unopposed in the secretary’s post, Fatuma Mwinyi as women representative and Fadhili Kassim as the new youth representative.
