KRU to work with world Rugby leaders

Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) will work with the newly elected Chairman of World Rugby.

In its congratulatory to the re-elected chairman Sir Bill Beaumont for the second term in office, KRU congratulated Rugby Africa’s President Khaled Babbou and Mr. Mark Alexander, President of the South African Rugby Union who were elected to the World Rugby Executive Committee.

“This is a great milestone for African rugby as it now has double representation on the executive committee. It is our hope as the Kenya Rugby Union that the two rugby gentlemen will continue with their progressive leadership as they aim to push African rugby to greater heights.

“Our Board, led by Chairman Oduor Gangla sends its congratulations. We believe that we shall continue working well with both Rugby Africa and SARU as we aim to produce the greatest rugby players globally,” the KRU said.

Former England captain Sir Bill Beaumont was re-elected as chairman last week after fending off challenge from his vice-chairman Agustin Pichot and will stay at the head of the governing body for the next four years
