Kipchoge offers foodstuffs, pads to vulnerable families

Over 100 women benefitted from free sanitary pads and foodstuffs donated by Olyumpic marathon winner Eliud Kipchoge.

After his tour of Iten with 100 athletes benefitting, today, vulnerable residents of Eldoret in Uasin Gishu and Kaptagat in Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet Counties respectively.

The London marathon champion said that donating foodstuffs to 100 athletes translates to 100 families and while in Eldoret he donated blankets, sweaters and sanitary pads to families.

“Women are suffering in this period especially on sanitary pads. The economy is on the negative side and women pads are next to food as far as am concern,” said the world marathon record holder.

He said they are donating foodstuffs and pads to vulnerable families where 50 families in the two areas.
