Chepngetich win gold as Chelangat settles for silver at Ostrava meeting

Olympic 1,500m champion Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon won her third title in row at the Ostrava Golden Spike, the World Athletics Tour in Czech Republic.

Kipyegon won the 1,500m title after she won in Brussels and Monaco Diamond league title, won in 3:59.05 on Tuesday night to become the second woman to run under four minutes.

Kenya’s Kumari Taki (3:34.14) was second in men’s 1,500m behind Norwegian Jakob Ingebrigtsen (3:33:92) as Commonwealth Games champion 800m champion Wycliffe Kinyamal finished in 7th position in 1:45:53.

National cross country champion Sheila Chelagat (14:40.51) ended second in the 5,000m behind two time world champion Sifan Hassan (14:37:85).
