Gor Fans angered as Tom Mboya statue is removed from Nairobi CBD

Gor Mahia fans are agitated on why the statue of Tom Mboya was removed from the Nairobi Central Business District.

On Sunday, the statue was removed by National Museum of Kenya with fans taking to online to complain why it was brought down.

But National Museums Director General Mzalendo Kibunjia said they removed the statue for renovation after years of distrucion.

The statue was erected in 2011 by the Government just metres away from where the Trade Unionist Tom Mboya was assassinated. Mboya was one of the founders of Gor Mahia in 1968.
