Battle for 2021 Magical Kenya Open will be between home player Isaac Makokha and Jay Sandhu when they battle for the Kenya Amateur Match Play Championship on Sunday on par 72 Vetlab Sports club.
Makokha and Sandhu, will be chasing for the title on Sunday with the winner earning a direct ticket to the 2021 Magical Kenya Open at Karen Country Club.
The only deaf golfer in the country, Makokha cruised to the finals after winning against John Lejirma from Kenya Railways while Sandhu Muthaiga’s Njoroge Kibugu with 3-2 at the semifinals.
The Vetlab player, Makokha had beaten long hitting Kevin Juma from Royal Nairobi 5-4 in the quarter-finals.
Kibugu beating club member and junior golfer Taimur Malik 2-1 after he ended Malik at the 17th hole.
Makokha on saturday eliminated Sammy Mulama in the round of 16.
Lejirmah beat Sandhu who beat Simon Njogu from the Great Rift Valley Golf Resort 2-1 margin.
