Kenya Sevens national rugby team has been pooled together with series leaders South Africa and third placed England ahead of the weekend’s sixth round of the 2016/17 HSBC Sevens World Series in Vancouver, Canada.
This follows their mixed results at the concluded Las vegas HSBC Sevens World Series where Kenya remained 11th on table standings.
In Las vegas, Kenyan side won the second Challenge after winning another during Singapore leg, the same venue that Kenya lifted the first world IRB sevens main Cup.
The last weekend’s meeting was good for Kenya at the final when they beat Samoa 21-14 to claim the Challenge Trophy to tally their points to 35 after bagging eight points.
Shujaa will face South Africa in pool A with the African side acculating 107 points from the five meetings and England taking second position with 81 points while Chile.
The continental giants have finished as series runner-up on four consecutive years, are having their best start ever after victories in Dubai, Sydney, Wellington and now, Las Vegas. Their only loss was at home against England in the Cape Town Sevens in December.
