Kenneth Bollo to redeem his Swing at Winston Churchill tourney

Reigning Golfer of the Year (GOTY) champion Kenneth Bollo will this weekend try his luck to win the Winston Churchill golf day at par 72 Thika Sports Club.

The event, which is the 5th in the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships, event, Bollo will be seeking to redeem his playing tactics to finish in top three position after failing to impress in the opening meetings.

The Royal Club based golfer said that he started on a wrong footing but he is getting back with his best swings that will propel him to the top.

“I started baldy this season but I have hope that I will finish top three. If my swing gets back, I will give my best challenge to Nandwa (Alfred who is leading the table with 165 points from four meetings),” said Bollo.

Despite being in early stages, Bollo was optimistic that in the remaining meetings, he will continue improving the swings.

“We still have 15 meetings to play and I have to enjoy the play and I don’t want to play under pressure since I have won a Goty event which is a very pressures title,” added Bollo who has garnered 35 points.

He will be facing Alfred Nandwa, who was the team captain to Africa Region Five Golf tournament that ended a fortnight ago in Kitwe, Zambia where Kenya finished 4th overall.
