Aaron Kitur shot 42 stable ford points to claim victory of Elgeyo Marakwet Golfers tournament held at nine hole Eldoret golf club on Saturday.

Fresh from finishing second behind his club chairman Andrew Chelogoi 4-2 at the subsidiary play during Kenya Amateur Matchplay last weekend last week at Vet Lab golf course, Kitur with experience produced a superlative play to register eight pars and a birdie to collect 23 stable ford points.

As he prepares for next week’s Kenya Cooperative Creameries golf tournament at the club, Kitur said he had a good day on the greens as he enjoyed putting.

“The match was good especially chipping that was excellent,” said Kitur who plans to play at the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships at Railway club, which he says it is a good place for him.

“I just want to minimize some mistakes to ensure that I do better in the KAGC,” added the club’s green keeper.

Immediate club chairman Vandeep Sagoo finished second with 40 stable ford points. Handicap 19 golfer played 22 and 18 in each nine as handicap 15 player Charles Ng’ang’a completed top three places with 39 points.
